  1. Excited about my forthcoming trip, I was up and out early that next morning. I bough samosas and took a rickshaw to Allepey beach. Again, very quiet, there were nice stretches of sandy coastline and charming little roadside stalls for chai and snacks, but several dilapidated buildings stood nearby.

  2. The Humidity in Kerala has been much higher than anywhere else we have been at about 95%. Luckily, it’s cooler so is bearable and during the night in Kochi we had found a delightful renovated old Dutch homestay called Walton’s to stay in

  4. Kerala is full of tranquil backwaters. These backwaters are actually the gatherings of innumerable lagoons, lakes, estuaries, beaches, all flowing criss cross across the entire land of Kerala. The tranquil backwater is bordered by lush green forests all hanging over the top of others appearing to having a small fight to see you travelling peacefully in the stream! Also you will get a glimpse of the tiny huts made up of bamboos and their likes as if kept neatly on the banks here and there.
